Turkey’s performance in 2015 suffered a significant decline, returning to the 2006 level. The performance gap between students from the top and bottom income groups is equivalent to more than two years of schooling. Urban students outperform rural students by the equivalent of nearly 1.5 years of schooling. The report presents graphical data on scores over time; science trends; student performance; equity profile; and Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) performance and gross domestic product (GDP) per capita.
