The objective of this report is to update the Government of Bangladesh, think tanks and researchers, the general public as well as the Bank's senior management on the development outcomes from the World Bank's portfolio in Bangladesh. It captures the development results of World Bank-supported projects in Bangladesh that contribute to the twin goals of ending extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity. It highlights where and how the World Bank's partnership with the government has made the greatest impact and brought changes in the lives of millions of Bangladeshis. Chapters in the report include sectors such as human development, climate change, public sector and finance, agriculture, and infrastructure and growth.
